Wreath of Roses

'Wreath of Roses' - my first attempt at hand applique in a LONG time!  and I realized it had been a long time, because I should have started with the leaves--each of the stems has at least 4 small leaves, then another stem with a rose bud.  The light pink rose bases will have 2 more layers of rose petals appliques over them.

Very ambitious to even think I could finish it in time for the Stashbuster 10th anniversary in November 2011!  Might make this block into a pillow by then as my contribution!  I would like to do a whole quilt--I could do it from the stash without buying a thing except maybe a spool or two of thread.
