I ran across a clipping from our local newspaper from 2003--that is when Quilt For Kids was started in my quilt shop - Sew Delightful Quilting and Collectibles! It is now called "Hugs" and is an activity that my guild has continued. It has expanded to include another charity that gives quilts, totes, walker bags and pillowcases to the homeless, elderly, foster children and others.
Makes me feel good to have initiated this in my community!
